Canada membership offers competitive opportunities in numerous age
divisions and levels of competition including league play and
thousands of sanctioned tournaments which in many cases lead to
regional and national playdowns and championship events. In
addition, membership grants access to sanctioned activities in all
International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) member countries,
including the United States.

Canada covers every individual member for their exposure while
participating in our events. Most other hockey programs will not
insure your son or daughter, they will however take care of
themselves!

Canada Educational Resources
Please
be aware that there are local hockey organizations currently operating
independently and are not sanctioned by Hockey Canada.
In
order to ensure that you and your child continues to receive all of
the benefits that being a member of Hockey Canada and OMHA has
to offer, it is imperative that you register with an OMHA member
organization who is a recognized member of the Ontario Hockey Federation
(OHF) and is sanctioned by Hockey Canada.

Richmond Hill, ON: - The OMHA is a proud member partner of the Ontario Hockey Federation (OHF) and Hockey Canada.
As a reminder to local associations, teams/leagues registered with Hockey Canada are only insured and sanctioned for participation against other Hockey Canada or International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) registered member teams/leagues.
Hockey Canada will neither sanction nor insure activity of any sort between Hockey Canada registered members and organizations that operate outside the structure of Hockey Canada and its member branches. Non-members cannot access the benefits of Hockey Canada membership which include participation against any Hockey Canada registered teams, IIHF or USA Hockey registered teams.
What does this mean to N.A.S.C. Hockey?
OMHA affiliated Associations can no longer play Oshawa CYO teams in exhibition or
accept them into our tournaments after April 15, 2007 as they are no longer recognized members of the OHF or Hockey Canada and therefore are not sanctioned.
