The Hockey Canada Skills Development Program is all about development opportunities for both players and coaches. Fundamental skill development is the primary focus of the program, ensuring players receive the necessary learning opportunities to further enhance their skill base.

  • The Hockey Canada Skills Development Camps for players focus on learning: Fundamental Skills, Fair Play, Respect, Teamwork, Leadership and Fitness!
  • Players having FUN while receiving professional instruction in a positive environment!

Basic Camp Information

The Hockey Canada Skills Development Camps, now entering their tenth season, were developed to provide players with an opportunity to enhance their fundament kills in a positive, learning environment. The primary focus of the camp is centered around on-ice fundamental skills, with time scheduled for life skill enhancement in areas such as respect, fitness and teamwork.

The Hockey Canada Skills Development Camps will be a one-day event open to N.A.S.C. Hockey registered, boys and girls playing in the Atom and PeeWee divisions (9-12 years of age).

The development camps provide players with an experience they will not soon forget !!

The Hockey Canada Skills Development Camps are designed for the recreational player and have the following objectives:

  • To develop / enhance the fundamental skills of skating, passing, stick handling and shooting.
  • To create an opportunity for players to meet other players and develop friendships.
  • To promote the fun of the game.
  • To teach the concepts of fair play, fitness, safety, team work and the importance of a positive attitude.
  • To provide a memorable experience for all who attend.

To ensure the camps are as educational and enjoyable as possible,
registration is limited to ONLY 72 players in total. (36 Atom and 36 PeeWee)

The cost to attend the 1-day camp is $72.00/player.

**As an added bonus, Each player receives a jersey, dog tag, water bottle and (1) ticket to the 
Oshawa Generals vs. Windsor Spitfires game after the skills clinic as part of their registration fee.

Additional Generals tickets at a cost of $12.00/ticket can be purchased at the time of registration for the clinic.

Lunch will also be provided for all participants!

Qualified instructors from Hockey Canada and your regional Branch will be present at each camp to assist with the fundamental skill development of each player, and to share coaching tips with your Minor Hockey Association coaches.
