Prior to the start of the Oshawa N.A.S.C. Hockey Midget ‘A’ Division final game between Glen Stewart and Lake Vista Park, N.A.S.C. Hockey took a minute to honour one of it’s own players during a pre-game ceremony.

Curtis Johnston of Lake Vista Park was recognized for his achievements as a graduate of N.A.S.C. Hockey. Curtis started his career with the O.C.H.L. and made the move over to N.A.S.C. playing both house league for Lake Vista Park and within the N.A.S.C. Select program.

Born on June 21, 1986, Curtis made the successful transition to junior hockey landing himself the goaltenders duties with the Campbellford Rebels. Curtis posted a very respectable 3.04 Goals against average in his first year with the club.

In recognition of his achievements, Curtis was invited to perform the ceremonial “puck drop” prior to the start of the league final.
