Proposed Fee Structure for 2021/22 Season

N.A.S.C. Hockey - Accepts Boys and Girls ages 3 to 19 years

Provided below is the proposed fee structure for the 2021/2022 season. 

Minibits
U7 (Learn-to-skate)
Ages 3&4 (Born 2017/2018) $350.00

U7 (IP)
Ages 5&6(Born 2016/2015) $440.00

*NEW* U7 (Learn-to-skate)
Ages 5&6 (Born 2017/2018) $350.00

U8 (Pre Novice)
Ages 7 (Born 2014) $440.00

U9 (Novice)
Ages 8 (Born 2013) $440.00

*NEW THIS SEASON - All full-time goalies U11 (Atom) and up pay a $225.00 flat fee!

To be eligible, goalies must have played at least one (1) season as a goalie as a member of an OHMA sanctioned hockey association and are required to commit to playing full-time for the 2021/2022 season. 

Full payment is required at the time of registration and no refunds will be available.

U11 (Atom)
Ages 9&10 (Born 2012/2011) $530.00
1 Practice and one game per week

U13 (Peewee)
Ages 11&12 (Born 2010/2009) $565.00
1 practice and one game per week

U15 (Bantam)
Ages 13&14 (Born 2008/2007) $615.00
2 games per week.

U18 (Midget)
Ages 15,16 &17 (Born 2006/2005/2004) $465.00
1-2 games per week.

U20 (Juvenile)
Ages 18 & 19 (Born 2002/2003) $465.00
All Juvenile registrations will be considered dependent upon registration numbers at U18. Juvenile aged players will be used to supplement U18 teams on an "as needed" basis.

All coaches, trainers and managers are certified by the OMHA.
Coaching staff certification costs paid for by the N.A.S.C. Hockey

MANDATORY OMHA 3.0 Player Profile Update

Parents, you are required to re-register your player with the OMHA even if you played before. 

This is a requirement for all players and you MUST create a new account in the new Hockey Canada Registration Portal.

First Sign-in

When you first click the Registration link from our website, you will be taken to the “Register Now!” page. In the upper right corner, you will see the “Login” button. You will click there to create your account in HCR 3.0.

 

NOTE: All existing members/participants have been migrated from the old platform that you used last season. All registrants are required to set up a new account in the new platform.

 

Please use a personal email for this purpose and not a work email. It is important that you use an email account that will not be changed. Using an eMail account that may change can make password recovery difficult. We no longer have the ability to change passwords.

Your first Sign-in

​You can either enter an email you have used before or click on the “Sign up” button. Both will prompt you to set up an account. You may get the error message if the email does not exist in the system. This is OK, just continue to click on Sign up

Creating Your Account

​Fill out the form that appears, entering your email, first name and last name.

​NOTE: ensure the email is valid and that you have access to it. A verification code will be sent to this email account in the next step!

The password you create must have the following as a minimum:

•8 characters

•1 Upper case letter

•1 lower case letter

•1 number

•1 special character (e.g. *^_?, etc.)

 

Once entered, click “Sign up"

Enter the verification code sent to you via email. If email is not received, you can try the “Send Email” link on the bottom. As well, check your spam/junk folders.

Once entered, click “Verify”

If verification is valid, you will be directed to the login screen again. Login (again), and then agree to Hockey Canada Registry Terms and Conditions.

After that, you will be directed to the Register Now! page again, but this time you are signed in and ready to register participants.

Completion of the Respect-In-Sport course is a MANDATORY Requirement of all NEW OMHA members as directed by the
Ontario Minor Hockey Association

In order to create your new Hockey Canada Profile that will allow you to register your child, you MUST complete this course first BEFORE you can register for hockey !

If you have already completed the Respect-In-Sport course last season, or for another child previously, please call 1-(866) 956-9791 and speak directly to the Respect Group who can assist in adding your new child to your profile.

MINIBITS

3 and 4 years of age as of Dec.31

Our most popular program is back!

This program is designed to introduce 3 and 4 year old children to the concept of skating and the game of hockey.

Utilizing N.A.S.C.'s very best instructors and a low ratio of instructors to students, (approx. 4:1) this program is the best learn to skate program anywhere in Durham Region.


Children will be on the ice only once weekly on Sunday mornings.

No experience necessary.

TYKE/SUPER NOVICE (under 8/ under 9)

(2013 - 2014)

All Minor Novice and Novice players (7 and 8 year olds) will participate on their assigned age appropriate teams and continue to thrive and learn in their weekly program (1 scrimmage / 1 practice per week) however, the players will ALSO be scheduled approximately "every-other-week" to attend an additional structured "hockey skills program".

 

Tyke 7 will be governed by Hockey Canada guidelines and will participate in cross-ice scrimmages.

The drills in the hockey school are structured in a progressive fashion with the focus always being to teach the player to be confident on their feet. Skating, skating, skating...The rest as a result, will come naturally...

BANTAM (under 15)

(2007 - 2008)

All 13 and 14 year olds will participate on their teams and continue to learn in their weekly program (6 games/per month  and approximately 1 practice every 3rd week)

 

Games are scheduled on weekdays compared to weekends for our younger players.

FLYING FIVES

(2016)



Having fun and learning the basics is the key to building confidence. In order to satisfy both areas, we offer a weekly instructional hockey school program with certified instruction in addition to the regular program for those players 5  yrs. old. All players are on the ice twice weekly.

 

The focus is on the players learning the individual skills of the game, in accordance with Hockey Canada's IP Program requirements

 

No experience necessary.

(2011 - 2012)



All 9 and 10 year olds will participate on their teams and continue to learn in their weekly program (1 game / 1 practice per week) and in addition, the players are scheduled "every-other-week" to attend an additional structured "hockey skills program". Also included is power skating Sundays every third Sunday of the month with Scary Skate power skating instructors.

MIDGET/JUVENILE

(under 18)

(2002 - 2003 - 2004 - 2005 -2006 )


All 15, 16 and 17 year olds will participate on their teams and continue to learn in their weekly program 

 

Games are scheduled on weekdays compared to weekends for our younger players.

It is our intention to separate Juvenile aged players from Midget aged players based on registration numbers.

 

In the event that the numbers are not there, we place a maximum of three (3) Juvenile aged players onto our Midget teams with the intent that they will participate in a mentor-ship role helping those younger players adapt to the fast paced game play.

SUPER SIX

(2015)

FALCONS SELECT

(2003 - 2009)

FALCONS SELECT PROGRAM WILL RESUME IN THE FALL!

As an extension of our recreational house league, our Select (All-Star) program will continue to offer a more competitive level of play in a structured environment.

Atom through Major Midget Select tryouts will take place in October

ALL Players MUST register with N.A.S.C. Hockey PRIOR TO taking the ice for tryouts.


Players must either register on-line or at our in person registration

*Registration fee is $200/child and full season program fee is determined based on the division level

FEES:

Refunds
Refunds will be allowed at the discretion of the N.A.S.C. Hockey Executive. 


NOTE: Upon completion of one active months' membership, (as determined by the league start date, and/or player start date – for late registrants) absolutely NO program fees are refundable. (Exemption – If a player provides registration payment and successfully competes for a spot on a rep team, the program fee will be refunded (less $25 administration fee) upon confirmation in writing from Oshawa Minor Hockey) 

All Refunds are subject to a minimum $25 administration fee. 

Request for refunds must be sent to NASC-Registrar@naschockeyoshawa.org


All refund requests must include player name, date of birth, registration form number,reason for withdrawal and the name and address where the refund is to be sent. Refusal to complete the Parent Respect In Sport mandatory course is not an acceptable reason to request a refund.

All refunds are subject to approval. All refunds will be confirmed by the league registrar and will be issued by cheque by the Treasurer only. 

Refunds will be issued by cheque (No Credit Card adjustments will be made). 

Returned Cheques (NSF)
ALL Returned cheques are subject to a $25 administration fee. 


Returned cheques will result in player suspension until full payment has been received and cleared, by the Registrar. NSF cheques void registration and will result in a player losing their space.
